Have Season ticket but my son has two friends from University in Scotland over that weekend who have been converted to Kerry Football. Any remote possibility of a ticket or two for them would be appreciated. Wtf you looking for tickets for people who doesn't know the first thing about GAA. Personally I have been at all matches this year going right back to the Mcgrath cup game against the IT in the winter cold and wet. It always happens the genuine supporter will be left out because of people like this. Well said!

Lads- some of you know me from posting on here for the last few years. Have been an exile for a several years now and getting final tickets is always a struggle compared to the quarters and semi finals so if anyone has anything spare then drop me a pm as it would be much appreciated!

How can people be so bad as to beg strangers for tickets they don't deserve? Tickets for specific sections, tickets for some Scots who've never gone to a match before, a ticket for my dog who barks when Kerry get a point and howls when they score a goal! How low can you go! True fans who have a season ticket will get their seat. Good club men and women who go regularly to games will get sorted through their clubs hopefully too. And the rest of us, and I include myself, will hope something turns up and if it doesn't, it doesn't, rather than taking advantage of some sympathetic poster on this forum. Well that's not completely fair in reality mate! Some of us have lived outside the Kingdom for years now and have families that restrict our match attendance for league matches- getting Munster championship, quarters and semi finals, etc is straight forward enough but for a final its not! I agree that good club men and women deserve tickets from their clubs but some of us aren't involved in clubs at home anymore so most avenues are closed! The tactic to try get a ticket for any match that I can physically attend is the same- exhaust all avenues

For the diaspora this is a massive occasion. I won't expect a man living in Boston flying over to watch a league game in March, but there should be a place for 82.000 fans on All Ireland final day. If it was up to me there would be no hospitality tickets or tickets given to companies to give away. Every year there are a few seats empty because tickets were given to people that don't really want to be there or don't deserve them. I have no problem looking for tickets for real supporters even if they haven't been to a single game ever. There are lads growing up in Australia just as passionate about Kerry football as others, but unable to attendant games. If I could get them a ticket I would. The problem I have is with other people, like the calls I've been getting from ex-colleagues, who have never been really interested in football at all, but just like to be there on the big day to say they were there. I got a few of them tickets for a Munster final before, because those are rarely sold out anyway, but for a final it should be fans only. I know of Down and Cork fans that are in Croke Park today for the hurling decider. Though they have every right to be there I somehow feel it is wrong for Galway or Kilkenny supporters to miss out because of it.

Lads living up in Meath, hate this struggle for tickets. Really difficult to find up here. I had a season ticket in 2012 but had to let it go as I had club commitments. You can have all my worldly possessions for a ticket please ?

The club I am an active member of always welcome new volunteers as I am sure do all the others - PM me if you want details.

With Dubs involved it will be hardest of all and the only saving grace is that with our Minors making it, there is one less potential county and our allocation should reflect that. Any spare one pls PM me, as I'm an exile too. Having said that if people are genuine and stroll around the usual places on the morning of the game you can generally get a ticket; the secret is that you must be genuine and that is testament to the sportsmanship of GAA folk; put yourself in their position, who would you give your ticket to. Ah you'd buy a lad a pint or two but I wouldn't take a cent over face value if it was me, in fact I'd take pleasure of helping out someone as we have all been there.
I saw a tout one year get out of a taxi outside The Gresham and put a Kerry jersey on him; he was asking for a ticket in a faked accent, word got put around and he left. That he tried such a silly tactic though shows they can get away with it.
I know it is chancy but how many times have we all been offered a ticket FOC right at the gate? What happens? People fall ill, mix ups, etc?

I joke that I was raised watching the golden years as opposed to Barney or pepa pig or what ever kids watch now. Anyway I wear a Kerry Jersey and can tell you the full history of the county. But I've a Dublin accent. So am I genuine?

You tell me?, would you be selling and buying tickets like this crook was?
Of course it is harder for you and you must alter your plan.
If you know people with Kerry then they will vouch for you.

Never sold a ticket in my life... Bloody hard enough to find. Thankfully I've a few lads that vouch for me alright.

But if it barks 'tis a dog!
royalkerryfan, you're best bet is to get one in Meath or if you have contacts in counties not involved.

Main website says 14,000 tickets to be distributed through the clubs. Therein lies the problem, it should be double that. What allotment are the Dubs getting, far more I would expect?

You will find the allocation is pretty much the same every year. We will probably get more than Dublin due to the minors being there. It's a battle and a scrape every year. Last year was the worst I can remember and that was with only two counties involved. Funnily enough I recall the 2011 final as being not too bad. Scarce obviously but there were plenty tickets around town the morning of the match.

From what I've heard, Kerry have actually been allocated more but due to fund raising efforts in the USA, a certain number have been send over to keep them on side for future money raising efforts .. 14,000 is what will be allocated amongst the Kerry clubs

I presume Kerry Co Board are in contact with Tipperary re tickets. There were less than 500 Tipp fans at the semi final V Kildare so it is unlikely they will need their 5,000 allocation. Have any of you any "friends" in Tipp? I was talking to a Tipp supporter at the Kildare semi final and he said that Kerry supporters played a big part in their minor win over Dublin in 2011. When the game started the Tipp team got a poor cheer form their few supporters but when they came out for the 2nd half they were amazed with the great reception that greeted them. It came from the Kerry supporters who came early for the senior final. Irrespective of what happens in the minor game, I hope this year's result in the senior game will be different.

I think what you are thinking of is Chairde Ciarrai members being entitled to 2 tickets. I also see in the Kerryman today that Austin Stack re-development fundraising scheme - €1000 gets you two "free" tickets to every All Ireland Kerry are in in the next 5 years + free entry to games in Austin Stack Park. Its actually a good deal if Kerry go onto to emulate the 2004-09 period of success in getting to finals.

Thought it was a one off payment of €1k initially. €1k a year every year for 5 years is excessive

Well lads, does anybody know how many Hill/Nally tickets Kerry get? Obviously the Dubs tend to have a hugenumber there every match but surely Kerry will get 50%. I remember when there was talk of getting rid of it when they are redeveloping Croke Park Sean Kelly said that the terrace was important as it made it more affordable for fans. Given the cost of travel from Kerry vs cost for the Dubs I assume Kerry should get a fair share.
