7. Jordan. I'm 7 for 7 so far. Next 2 days are gimmes with everyone having Darragh Ó Sé and Cavanagh. Edit: looking above I'm wrong, lots of different midfield combos possible e.g. McGrane, Whelan, Tohill and a few more. Keith Higgins was my Waterloo. I obviously underestimated the nation's dislike of Ricey! If I was picking a best 15, I'd have Ricey as well but I saw John O'Mahony was a judge so I knew he'd make sure there's be a Mayo player on the team. Likewise I reckon he'll make sure there'll be a Galway player so I've Joyce also.

Do ye have to have the right 15 overall I wonder or do ye have to get the positions - including left and right - correct also? Daily prizes probably exactly right, but I'd say right 15 overall for main prizes. Edit: midfield surely an exception

No offence to Keith Higgins who is a marvelous defender but Tom O Sullivan's body of work since 2000 is miles above what he did. Geezer is very lucky in my opinion, he is the most over rated player of his era. In all 4 games against Kerry he wasn't a huge influence the way others were, the fact Armagh frequently played a second centre back with him sums it up for me. He's obviously an inspiration to his team mates for the hard work he put in to get where he got to but the best centre back of the last 15 years? Not in my opinion

Not in my opinion Post winning the AI (which he was excellent in helping Armagh to win) he struggled as an intercounty player. Lost any pace he had and became a serial fouler because of it. Given the period this is based on, he really can only point to 2 excellent years. I had Canty ahead of him. Canty slowed down a lot in later years too, but that wasn't unitl ~2010. He produced far more top years in the 15 year period than Geezer did.

8. Dara 9. Cavanagh 10. Paul Flynn ..... really? Good player but best 15 in the last 15 years.

If you were picking lads to position Seamus would be first name on the team sheet at centre back but for this sort of thing no surprise McGeeney got the nod and Seamus is full back

Easy to dislike him, but even putting that aside Higgins has been a far better player and over a longer period of time. Higgins is a fine footballer but he isn't a corner back in my opinion. He has had a lot of tough days in a Croker with numerous corner forwards who have put up big scores

9 out of 10 for me so far, had Lacey in instead of Mcgeeney.
Was sure Lacey would get the nod there.
I've Declan, Dooher, Gooch, Brogan and Stevie Mcdonell as my last 5.
Declan, Gooch and Brogan are certs I'd say. They could put in Galvin or Mcconville at 12 and also may try to fit in Joyce and Canavan though Canavan retired in 2005 and only really had 2 or 3 good years in the last 15. last 2 calls (12 and 14)really hard though.

Christ we've seen a lot of great footballers in the last 15 years! Neither Michaels Donnellan and Meehan haven't been mentioned yet! Despite a lot of the defensive football that has infiltrated the game in the last 15 years, some fantastic footballers have graced the game at the same time-maybe we shouldn't be so pessimistic! (I reserve the right to change my mind on this as quickly as i post this!)

McGeeny is was a definite inclusion in my opinion. Leadership winning the day. My half back would have been Tomas, Glen Ryan and McGeeny. For me Ryan was without doubt the best centre half back of last 20 years. A total warrior in the truest sense combined with an extreme ability to lead. Tomas would have been the footballing poet of that half back line to bring some balance to the great leaders to his left.
I'd have Dooher at 10 instead of Flynn all day long, another great leader of the modern game. Darragh and Canvanagh are automatic selections at 8 & 9.

Played for 16 seasons at centre half back from 1990 with one of less fashionable counties that filled Croker 20 plus times over that time. Make your own mind up.

Your love of Kildare and its footballers is bordering on the crazy at this stage but I do admire your persistence- I would have several players ahead of Glen Ryan such as Canty, Philip Jordan, Tomas, McGeeney, Lacey, McGlynn and to be honest that's without thinking too hard about it. He was a good enough player but thats where it ends in my opinion

Yes but Pony will probably get on the team of the century, was still mightily influential up to his final year. Ryan, a fine player and leader, won his awards in the 90s and was not on Moynihan's level in the 00s.

Ryan played in three Leinster Finals and an All-Ireland semi final in first half of the '00s.

Miles ahead in terms of winning obviously albeit being part of a far greater playing platform and shop window. The competition is about the best players of the past 15 years not the best counties they played for. I'll argue all day with anyone that Glen Ryan, pound for pound, was a good as any of the great centre half backs that played the game over the past 30 years.

No chance

Declan O'Sullivan has been named at CF.
Today FM:
The choice of our judging panel for Centre Forward on the 15 for 15 selection is: Kerry's Declan O'Sullivan.
Last November O'Sullivan, at the age of 30, called time on a glittering senior inter county career. Introduced to the Kerry team as a teenager in 2003, the Dromid Pearses clubman would be on the winning All Ireland team on 5 occasions.
A classic centre forward, O'Sullivan made 70 inter county appearances for the Kingdom, and was one of a rare breed to captain Kerry to the Sam Maguire Cup more than once, in 2006 and 2007.
Declan O'Sullivan, who won 3 All Stars, was a footballer of vision, composure and a natural leader. He gave everything for the green and gold. His career had many moments of brilliance, but the ruthlessness he demonstrated to kick the winning point in the 2007 semi final against Dublin stands out.
