fixtures committee would want to get their act together, first the debacle with county championship and the hurlers, now county league and juniors. wouldn't happen for seniors, minors or u-21 so why treat juniors differently ? this round of the league should have been fixed for next weekend.

Yes and I am sure that there are a few player's not on the panel because they would of committed to playing with there clubs this weekend likewise one or two on the panel who who were caught between club commitments and the junior's who may not be starting because of this,it is a crazy situation to put the player's in , can't be any good either for the junior management team either trying to pick a team

Decent team. Shane Murphy solid keeper. I will be looking at Jack McGuire and Gavin Crowley in the full back line. James Walsh in Midfield. Conor Cox and Thomas Hickey in the forwards. These players have a chance to impress and make a statement. Gary O'Sullivan, Liam Carey, and Cillian Fitzgerald are players I would like to see come on and make an impression. All the players know that a good crowd will be watching so it's a good chance for them to perform.

Is Killian Spillane away for the summer? Might have left it off considering he's repeating the Leaving Cert in Cork

Killian spillane doing his leaving cert I think there could be one or two more doing the leaving that could be called in should kerry advance

I was surprised the other day by the omission of Alan O'Donoghue from all your team sheets, he has been in flying form for the Mitchels all year.

Would it be right to assume that none of the panel of 24 played for there clubs tonight, hopefully they should be all fit and ready to go tomorrow against a strong tipp team

Decent performance by the Juniors some distraction in the first half due to the injury. Never seemed to be in danger of losing.

I'm sure cork won't need to much incentives for this game after the comments from the trainer after last year's game, good solid display from kerry who seemed able to lift their game after the tipp goal in the second half

The juniors give a good enough performance, some of the kick passing and shooting in particular were good.
Before somebody points out the obvious, I know Thomas Hickey is an out and out corner forward and Philip O Connor can play in the half forward line, but on yesterdays evidence, and from what I have seen of both players over the last few years, its difficult to see how Hickey was considered not good enough for the seniors but O Connor was.
It was a sickening clash involving Morley, lets hope both players are ok.

So glad to hear that both players are ok. A sickening collision is the only was to describe it. I though ODonoghue from Mitchells showed well too.

Juniors won by about 3 point's may have been missing one or two due to club commitments, good performance especially 2nd half with a few stand out player's on the day don't know the score but kerry scored 2 goals in the 2nd half and took command of the game after half time before limerick made many changes. Heard Dennis daly has a broken hand and won't be available for the cork game

Best of luck to the juniors Wednesday, I'm sure it will be a hard fought game with cork itching for revenge on home soil after last year, hopefully kerry can shade it kerry full forward line looks like it could cause cork serious problems if they get the right service

No commentary anywhere so just following some of the updates online.
Was looking good early on when we were 0-5 to 0-0 ahead after 13 mins.
Now down 0-8 to 0-5 at half time! Management have a bit of thinking to do at the break.
Gary O'Sullivan came on for Liam Kearney after 24 minutes.

Profitable half time teamtalk.
All turned around again now. Scores by Jeff O'Donoghue(4), Conor Cox(2), sub Eamon Kiely, Brian Crowley & Thomas Hickey in the 3rd quarter.
Cork 0-9 Kerry 0-14 after 46 minutes.

Good to see another JOD on the rampage Cox goal from a penalty finished it as a contest with about 10 minutes to go. Great result by the lads. First part of a Munster treble this week hopefully!

Great result. Strange game though Kerry fast out of the blocks 5 points to no score ip and kicked about another five wides. For the last 15 mins of first half Cork owned it and kicked 8 points in a row as Kerry failed to score. Cork lead 8-5 at half time. Key turning point in the game was swift action by Kerry mgt team to withdraw Liam Kearney at midfield after 25 mins and replaced by Garry O'Sullivan who steadied the ship and won back midfield for Kerry for the rest of the game. Kerry came out in the second half and scored 1-15 to Corks 0-3. Awesome second half performance by Kerry Jeff O'Donoghue kicked 4 or 5 on the trot. David Culhane was immense at the back started corner back and floated between full back , centre back and wing back contributing in all positions serious footballer tough and fast was Kerry's best back even when the went out of the game in first half. In my opinion definitely worth a place on the senior panel has it all good hands, strength , bravery and searing pace. James Walsh had a big influence when moved to midfield also. Cox and to lesser extent Thomas Hickey performance well. Cox clearly grew in confidence after his goal from the penalty and kicked one point with his left after selling about 3 if 4 dummies worth the €10 entrance fee alone!! Cork were brutal being honest and to see them dying out in a game after scoring 8 points on the trot to lead at half time at home in a Munster final begins to add fuel to the theory that they breed soft footballers its strange to see that not only do there seniors suffer stage fright almost that it seems to affect certain underage and junior teams also now. Great to see youth get one over a bit more physically imposing and older Cork side in there own back yard

Fair play to the kerry management made the right calls at the right time Gary osullivan after a shaky ten minutes after coming on grew into the game culhane immense at the back Walsh very good when moved out to midfield Jeff odonoghue hit a purple patch and cork couldn't handle him in the second half kerrys full forward line always looked a threat, but bar 15 minutes or so before halt time cork were very poor they didn't seem to have anyone who was willing to shoot and constantly passing sideways or backward even inside the 21
