Crokes have great forwards to pick from this year . Colm Cooper , Kieran O'Leary , Brian Looney , Jamie Doolan , Michael Burns , Gavin O'Shea , Daithi Casey , Jordan Kiely , Chris Brady , Tony Brosnan , and Andrew Kennelly all of them have played for Kerry at some level . Midfield you Eoin Brosnan , Ambrose O'Donovan , Johnny Buckley , Mike Milner , and Alan O'Sullivan . Backs Fionn Fitzgerald , Luke Quinn , David O'Leary , Aaron Murphy , Kieran Ward , Mike Moloney , John Payne , Shane Myers , Gavin White , Jason Lyne , Mark Egan Goals Alan Kelly , Conor O'Loughlin , John O'Leary . That's a crazy panel . You would expect trophies with that . Congrats to the u14s who won the Feile Saturday future looks good . That panel gave Bally/Filmore a crazy hammering too

I just got this eye witness account from Ardfert v Laune Rangers.
59 mins gone... Laune Rangers 4 pints up. Ardfet kick a point. 60 mins gone... Ardfert attack... pulled down ....free in 21 yards out. Laune Rangers line the goal. Damien Wallace goes for goal it breaks and an Ardfert leg pulls on it...roof of the net. Bedlam. A row breaks out (Buck02 will be delighted). Full time.
First period of extra time...Ardfert kick 7 super points, 6 from play with John Egan (scorer of Kerrys last minute winner v Antrim last week) kicking 5.
Second period of extra time... Ardfert play keep ball and Laune Randgers are well beaten.
Ardfert play Austin Stacks next Sunday in Ardfert in the next round. Austin Stacks refused to play Ardfert in preparation for the club All Ireland as they wouldn't be good enough opposition so a facile win for Stacks is expected.

I was at the ardfert game - ref was poor in the extreme don't know where he found all the injury time - ardfert got goal with last kick of the game laune rangers midfielder batted the ball to Egan when it was easier catch it - ardfert with their tails up much the better team in extra time but Rangers will be wondering how they lost it.
In fairness to their goalkeeper Tony Lyons he was absolutely outstanding made 4 or 5 excellent saves and certainly did not deserve to be on the losing side - one in the top corner was a cracking save. John Egan is a serious footballer if he took the football 100% serious he would be close to county panel surely in my opinion.

What tally did the Gooch rack up today? An awful hiding, no good to anyone.

Ardfert and Stacks should be interesting,Stacks will be red hot favourites but as we have seen in the past Ardfert love being the underdogs.

What tally did the Gooch rack up today? An awful hiding, no good to anyone. The Gooch had 3 points from play.Chris Brady and Kieran O Leary were the tormentors however, with Brady getting 3-6 and 3-4 from play and Kieran O Leary with 2-3 from play. Crokes are seriously up for it this year.

Stacks and ardfert will be a cracker in lerrig. As far as I know that was Damien Wallace's last game before he heads abroad big blow but I'd have expected stacks to be too much even with him. But ardfert will keep their senior status for next year and I'm sure they'll be happy with that regardless of the stacks outcome. On tommy walsh I'd hope Eamon let's him play for his club through out the year as he needs games competitive games in the county league and not training games regardless of when a county fixture is.

I wouldn't think Alan O Sullivan will play midfield for Crokes this year though. Kieran Ward, Mark Egan and Conor O'Loughlin have opted out of playing this year.. Shane Doolan is also there. Hard to judge today with such a poor showing by Bally Foilmore. I must say the revamp of the County Championship is most certainly needed with some extremely poor senior sides. On their day Crokes are unbeatable, however on the flip side of things Dingle, Stacks and Legion are all capable of turning Crokes over on an off day.

I totally agree Hugh with that . If Crokes have a weakness it's the backs . Especially the Full Back line . Alan O'Sullivan and Eoin Brosnan have been tried back there . Legion with Conor Keane and James O'Donoghue , Dingle with the Geaneys and Stacks with Donaghy and Co. can beat Crokes . I don't see a Divisional side beating them in the Championship . If those Forwards though get enough ball there is no back line in Kerry that can stop them .

Just to clarify Ardfert are not guaranteed senior status - they will more than likely be playing in relegation group stages with 8 other club sides later in the year - to hazard a guess stacks and crokes will be safe with the 9 other clubs in the co champ playing off

My mistake I thought the next round of fixtures would have to be played in venues with stands. But I've been corrected it's the semi finals. So ardfert it is for next weeks game.

Especially as ardfert will be fixing around the hurling championship later in the year.

Wasn't at the ardfert v laune rangers game and heard ardfert thoroughly deserved the Win in extra time but ranger's support baffled as to where the ref got 5 minutes added on time with laune ahead

The elite performing clubs from around the country have shown that Crokes are far from unbeatable. However they will canter to the championship in Kerry in 2015. Certainly the best team in Kerry and probably in Munster also.

By all accounts, Rathmore pulled in out of the fire against Miltown Castlemaine to take matters to extra time. By the sounds of it, twas a competitive encounter with some familiar names coming to the fore.

I was at Castle v Beaufort no linesman or umpires one from each club, surely the ref should be bringing his own umpires lad's going to watch the game then get stuck umpiring, heard about the incident in lerrig and surely that type of behaviour can't be condoned if true, if it was a northern team at that rubbish we would be up in arm's great example to be setting for any youngsters watching that carry on

How is it the wrong thread if the alleged incident happened in the senior club championship maybe if there was umpires and linesman officiating he would be facing punishment now ref doesn't have eyes in the back of his head

First Cooper, now O’Donoghue back from injury as Kerry stars set for club semi-final battle
Cooper’s Dr Crokes and O’Donoghue’s Legion are set for a Killarney showdown next weekend.
FIRST THERE WAS the return of the Gooch, now it’s the return of another attacking star that will please Kerry football fans. Colm Cooper made his long-awaited comeback from a cruciate injury a fortnight ago when he lined out for Kerry and has stepped up his schedule in recent club games for Dr Crokes. On Saturday night it was the turn of James O’Donoghue to make his comeback after undergoing surgery to correct a shoulder problem. He was in action for his club Legion in the Kerry senior club football championship against Kerins O’Rahilly’s and the 2014 Footballer of the Year made his presence felt as he hit 0-4 in a game that saw Legion win by 1-14 to 1-13. Now Legion will take on Dr Crokes at the semi-final stage in Kerry next Sunday afternoon in a game that is set to pit Cooper and O’Donoghue in opposition to each other. Cooper, who made his inter-county comeback earlier this month for Kerry against Tyrone, was in action for Dr Crokes last week in a league match against Kilcummin.
He was on the scoresheet again yesterday as Dr Crokes crushed St Michael’s-Foilmore by 6-22 to 0-3 in their quarter-final tie.
The other senior club championship semi-final tie next week will see reigning county champions Austin Stacks on All-Ireland intermediate kingpins Ardfert. Kerry boss Éamonn Fitzmaurice received further good news with the return from injury of Aidan O’Mahony (Rathmore), Mikey Geaney (Dingle) and Donnchadh Walsh (Cromane) over the weekend as all three played club matches.

Anyone know how stacks are fixed for the weekend? Full team, etc?
I can see a Crokes victory by about 5-8 points and a Stacks win by 3-5
