Kerry have been very successful in Vocational schools hurling, especially as a county in the 'B' All Ireland Vocational schools hurling competition. I am trying to do a roll of honour for the county and I have Kerry winning All-Ireland Vocational Schools inter-county 'B' Hurling All Irelands in 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2006. There are a few gaps to fill I am sure. Would anyone else know if Kerry have won the title in other years (1992-2010) or know someone who would?
Surely with individual schools like the Causeway, Kerry wouldve won more Inter-county titles as a county in this grade?
Go raibh maith agat.

No disrespect to hurling in Kerry but it would probably be easier to do a roll of honour for the AI winning football. I can remember ambrose winning one in the 80's with Davy keane (Barry johns dad), Anthony Gleeson , Denis Dwyer, john Cronin, eamon ferris, john Crowley - there must be loads I'm forgetting. The vocational schools team were strong around that time & produced a lot of senior AI winners but I don't know what happened since then??

I have the entire roll of honour for the 'A' Vocational schools hurling and 'A' vocational schools football, most of the 'B' Vocational schools football and most of the 'B' hurling aswell, its just there are a few years where I cant find any winner and seeing as Kerry were so successful at 'B' level, surely a few of those gaps mightve been Kerry also.

Can you post up the teams you have, it would be interesting to see who went on to bigger things.

Paul Galvin came through the vocational schools scene in later years. Pribably a few of the Rathmore lads too. Anthony Gleeson was a fine hurler at minor level. Won a county minor hurling championship with Austin Stacks and captained the Kerry minor hurlers.
