3-4 to 2-5 now......subs are working. They could do with bringing on a few more subs in defence especially. Fionn on Hurley. That wont work.

I'm listening to Radio Kerry while waiting to watch deferred coverage on GaaGo. Sounds like an exciting game with Cork well on top early doors but that guy commentating, Tim whatever his name, is a total amature and irritating in the extreme. Radio Kerry should give that guy the P45 because they and the listeners deserve better.
Weeshie has his work cut out today just to keep Tim reporting on what is actually happening in the game! Gary O'Sullivan is way ahead as a commentator and his presence is badly missed today.

Hurley looking dangerous every time he gets the ball. Giving them too much space. End to end stuff in fairness.

5 down now again, looks like Walsh is at midfield and Crowley at full back.
Alan Fitzgerald on also, Maher gone off.

8 points down, we are getting a hammering. Cork showing how to beat Kerry - run at our defence and low ball inside.
weve kicked multiple wides in this second half, very poor stuff.

3-17 to 2-9....a fair walloping.
some very baffling decisions by the sideline and alot of lads did themselves out of places in the first 15 for later in the summer.

That was dreadful but it's early yet . The backs need to be looked at . Crowley and Killian and Enright will have to start next week . It's hard to know if Griffin , Kilkenny ,and Sherwood are up to that level . They are still young so it's tough to say but there are question marks about them . The same thing happened last year so we'll see. Maybe it's a good omen . No point to be flying this early in the year and get hammered in the Championship .

10-3 second half, abysmal. Most of defence replaced, pulverizing reality check. Next week will be interesting against Donegal who kept Cork's score board well under control. Three goals in first 16, complete defensive meltdown. You couldn't see this result coming, not the defeat, the manner of it. How much % can we consign to 1)'bad day at office' 2)really solid Cork side 3) a style that completely exposed our defence, direct running 4) the loss of big Anthony at the break
Newstalk Nathan Murphy described the performance in second half as "they just rolled over" and that Cork looked fitter.
Pretty unacceptable team performance and defeat.
Good to get a jolt in the spring, if one has to be shipped. Maybe like last year this will do us a favour, although I'm under no illusion the Munster final will be 2014 in repeat. Relying on radio today so looking forward to insights of those present at the game, and will review recording later.

Once we went six points up (which I think was about 5 mins. into the second half) you could see ye just gave up the ghost.Nobody in Cork will be fooled by this result (like we were by last year's one in Tralee). You could well see the winning margin reversed if we play ye in the summer.

There wont be any over confidence on Kerrys part anyway when they meet again in the championship. I was going to write something else but I decided to just say what I said this time last year. Delighted that PCD won today and the U21 v Cork is far more important.

On the plus side
* BJK did his case for serious involvement a lot of good today. * I thought Johnny Buckley got through a world of work today. * Alan Fitzgerald made a very positive impression. * Very imagine to imagine a situation where Kerry are as bad again this year.

The ways things are structured now, provincial Finalists cant meet in an ALL Ireland Final. That's a shame.

A disjointed display from the start, we gave away soft goals and had problems in the central defensive positions throughout. It appeared to me that kerry must be going through some heavy work on the training pitch at present as everything was pretty laboured. Cork played with real zest and set the tempo for the full 73/74 mins of play. We seemed to accept that defeat was our lot after giving away 3 goals. We lost a league game in March, not very significant in my view. If Cork didn't beat us today, they may as well have thrown their hats at it for the rest of the year. League form is, invariably, very up and down at this time of year due to training levels and itoday's performance was very forgivable. Nothing to be too concerned about given that we have 4 league points and 2 home games left.

However the deficit on the scoreboard is still extreme, 3-17 is seismic leakage. Whatever way you weigh it up, not a good day, but history informs we will improve because of it.

Think Kerry have been sloppy and off the pace in the 3 league games I saw except maybe for the period after half time v the Dubs. Quality of football in the televised league games so far has been poor enough and no sign of the emergence of any new challengers. Cork have probably been the surprise as I expected them to struggle and they seem to be playing with a bit more spirit and confidence than many expected.
Generally though disappointing league so far in terms of quality.

Really poor Kerry performance. Heavy training or not this was a game that was over with 30 minutes to go for a Kerry team bereft of thought and purpose. No point in saying much about it as that will be all done behind closed doors during the week. Two big home games coming up now!

Certain people got carried away last weekend after we beat Dublin. Certain people will get carried away this week after our hiding today. So be it. Might be no harm at all.
Very few plusses today. Was good to see a bit of fight in the lads after a few switches were made and we 9 points? in arrears at that stage. The row that ensued suited Cork actually because it killed the momentum we had built up. Anthony Maher was outstanding in that period of about 7 minutes. Himself and Eoin Cadogan were at loggerheads during that period and Maher dominated him. Our friend Eoin regrouped though and for me he ran the show. Cork were full of running and really were up for this one. Their point taking was top drawer!! It was a tough day at the office for our over ran defence.
Tommy Walsh was a plus and showed glimpses of what he will bring to the table. Much improved from the Derry game. Barry John is another man who can hold his head high. He was only drip fed possession but when he was on the ball he was a constant threat.
We'll move on from this defeat. Previous posters said we looked flat and it certainly seemed that way to me. There was no ambition whatsoever in the second half. It really was a matter of what Cork were going to score. Just when we thought it wasn't going to get any worse Donnacha O Connor came on and raised the white flag on a few occasions.
A big 2 points at stake today week!!

You didn't mention Fionn, who was brutal today and has been all year in my book. Dunno why he was left on so long. I thought Griffin was ok, actually. Murphy can feel a bit hard done by with the two blacks, especially today's. A lot more cynical stuff than that went uncarded. Problem is it's whether or not the man goes to ground that determines the black, so if a fella stays on his feet after an identical foul, the culprit stays on.
