Rathmore should come right back up . Templenoe could be the surprise packet . Spa should come close to promotion . Mary's , Gneeveguilla , Glenflesk ,and Mitchels should be ok . It's hard to know with the rest of them .

Are Templenoe really that good? I dont think so - could be a bit like what happened Listry last year - it's great they are getting promoted year after year but Div 2 is a tough place to be - I think Rathmore will go up and a big scramble between Marys, Laune Rangers, Listowel, Spa and maybe Glenflesk to go up with them. I think Mitchels will go down (they were lucky last year) along with maybe Tarbert and Kenmare perhaps??

The most difficult division to predict Totally agree - can easily see this being a seriously competitive division, with results going in all sorts of directions. Wouldn't be one bit surprised if it ended up the division with the most draws and the most close games.

the 4 games in june/july will have a huge bearing on final league positions. the teams with senior inter county players could suffer big time without these players. rathmore, laune rangers st. marys and probably listowel would want points on the board early on in the campaign. templenoe can make it double promotion, while currow could do the opposite.

Are Glenflesk really as good as ye are making them out to be? Im going to go with : Spa Rathmore Templeone/Launge Rangers To be promoted to Div 1 with maybe St Marys Glenflesk and Gneeveguilla mounting a challenge

Wouldn't be one bit surprised if it ended up the division with the most draws and the most close games. After the 1st round it began as you predicted. 2 draws and a couple of very close encounters! Round 2 should be interesting with the battle of the East Kerry sides.

My Prediction for this years division 2
Promoted 1.Kenmare (Very strong team and Paul o Connor on form will cause back lines severe pressure) 2.Listowel (Seems like a different team from last year , if cox isnt in with kerry they should do well) 3.Spa ( An extremely young talented team , seen them play against LR'S , A team for the future)
Relegated 1.Gneeveguilla (On a down ever since they came down from div1 , not looking good) 2.Tarbert (Will find it tough to stay in the league , home advantage crucial to tarbert) 3.Currow (Get Johnny Buckley fit and they might have a chance of promotion)
Templenoe v St. Marys Verdict - Without Sheehan and Paul o Donoghue Templenoe should get their first 2 points. Tarbert v John Mitchels - This will be a close encounter , But i think Mitchells could just do it Glenflesk v Rathmore - Great Ek clash but Rathmore missing their kerry players , i think glenflesk will get better of these 2 teams Spa v Gneeveguilla - Honestly i think Spa will hockey Gneeveguilla especially in spa. Again this young spa team is a team to watch Listowel v Currow - This should be too easy for listowel , currow showed no go agienst Kenmare last Sunday. Kenmare v Laune Rangers - Very close tie but i think kenmare will get the 2 points crowley huge miss for Rangers.

Division 2 is a fiercely competitive Divison. Rathmore, a senior club, one would think should have the required quality to pick up at least 6 wins needed to gain promotion, Lot of talented young players, and even without Paul and Aidan will enough. Spa are an extremely young team, but a very talented natural bunch of footballers. Probably caught at the back for 1 or 2 quality backs but again I think they'll have too much for most teams and should do enough to finish in top 3. The other promotion spot will be between Laune Rangers, making great strides under Hassett and dark horses Listowel Emmets. Especial now with Cox expected to be availible for their games. Glenflesk, Kenmare, Templenoe and Mary's should all consolidate their places in Division 2 for 2016. Tarbert and Gneeveguilla will go down as they don't have enough quality to pick up at least 5 wins required. Currow and Mitchels to slog it for safety also.

Listowel 1-7 Currow 0-7 H.T. Listowel 0-4 Currow 0-5
Emmets opened the scoring with a Cox free. Currow then built up a 5-1 lead despite losing Seamus Scanlon to a pointless black card after 10 minutes. They wouldn't score for another half an hour after that. Must be one of the most boring teams I've ever seen; endless short handpassing and persistent refusal to have a shot. If it wasn't so cold I'd have fallen asleep.
Listowel clawed their way back gradually and trailed by one at the break. Key moment came on about 40 minutes. Noel Kennelly collected a long pass around the edge of the square, used his strength to hold off his man before swivelling and firing into the top corner. Cox put Listowel 5 clear, then they shut up shop. Currow were clueless and toothless in response; had a lot of the ball in the last 10 but no penetration, though they did have a goal chance saved after a scramble in the box.
Not a great day for football with a strong swirling wind and bumpy pitch. Not a picnic watching it either.
Someone should tell Paul Hayes about the advantage rule. Time and again he blew up even though the fouled side still had good possession. Maybe he was just trying to keep warm.

Tom was marking Jeff O Donoghue. And he's motoring well,he hasn't lost his pace and still looks extremely fit.Lee Donoghue was at corner forward and took his goal very well I believe he was on the Kerry minor panel until recently, one to watch.

Was at Currow vs. Rathmore game, 0-05 to 2-13, Rathmore's 2 early goals had the game effectively over by half time. Rathmore will most definitely be promoted, looked a different class altogether.
Paul Murphy on show for Kerry, typical inspiring performance, hard working in both attack and defence.
Only highlight for Currow was the return of a number of players from injury.

This division is a real humdinger with 8 clubs having a realistic chance of gaining promotion to Division 1 and 4 battling to avoid the drop.I predict that Templenoe,Rathmore and St Marys will be promoted. Tarbert,Currow and Gneeveguilla will I think be the unlucky clubs. Laune Rangers will just about make the cut

That would be some motoring by Templenoe if they go up. Big result for them beating Rathmore!

Templenoe 1-18 5-02 Tarbert in a back game Are Templenoe now promoted? According to the main website there are still 6 teams in with a chance of promotion. Templenoe are top with 14 pts, 3 teams with 13 pts, one each on 12 and 11 pts.
