Jack has reached his optimum in management, they should really look at finding a solution to keep him in charge of the minors in 2016 in conjunction with the U21s. His level of expertise is far too valuable now not to maximise for the greater good of Kerry football.

good win for the minors - quarter finals august weekend next up against Connaught opposition (Sliog v Galway final). Hope young Linnane's injury not too serious.

Conor Geaney was very good. Darren Brosnan very good in defence along with Daniel O'Brien. Mark O'Connor played well in midfield. Sean O'Shea very good first half. His brother Dara was good when he came on. Linnane was good. Tipp are average enough there will be bigger tests ahead. Galway supposed to be good in beating Mayo. Kildare supposed to be good. Derry also.

It will take a very good team to beat this Kerry Minor side. It was the best performance by the forwards as a unit so far. Mark O'Connor controlled everything and himself and Adam Barry look to be a very strong pairing.

Colm Geaney got man of the match. It is argue with a player who scored 1-4 from play, two from frees and created the other goal. He was wonderful but there was another man who must have run him very close for the honour.
In the second half on the terrace side, I had a bird's eye of right corner back Darren Brosnan from Gneeveguila. This was a display straight from the corner back text book. Indeed, Kerry are very strong in that full back line with Jason Foley at full and Jack Morgan at left corner. A strong full back line is your corner stone.

Competition down to last eight with three provincial deciders to take place over next two weekends. Kerry play losers of Galway V Sligo. Cavan and Derry contest the Ulster Final and Kildare take on Longford in Leinster. QF's down for the August bankholiday weekend.

Very comfortable win for the minors. Kerry were on top in every area of the pitch really. THe scoreline probably flattered Tipp. The backs all did well, Jack Morgan played the sweeper role very well and Brosnan and Foley gave very little away in the full back line. Mark O Connor has probably played better games for Kerry but nonetheless looked a class above the other midfielders - although the Tipp number 10 was prominent in the first half especially. Up front Michael Foley and Conor Geaney caused Tipp all sorts of bother. I was surprised with the decision by Tipp to put their smallest back on Geaney - he was taken off after about 15 minutes. I thought they should have doubled marked Geaney as their sweeper played closer to the centre back than the full back line. Geaney got a good goal and set up Linnane for a goal and also kicked a couple of brilliant points off both feet.
Kerrys Cormac Linnane and Tipperarys Emmet Maloney were both stretchered off in the first half with leg injuries.

Who, if any of the senior Geaneys, is related to Conor Geaney?
A great win yesterday and great to see success being continued after last year's highs.

Great first half display by minors to build up a big lead. Thought Tipperary were very slow to get the ball into their inside forward line throughout the match, but particularily in the second half when they were well behind on the scoreboard. Tipp no 10 (Buckley) was switched inside to full forward line in 2nd half, but only 1 long ball sent into him late on, and he scored a goal from that. Having said that, Kerry's full back line is as strong a unit as I've seen in a long time, with each of them able to mark forwards one on one without giving away frees. Mike Foley played v well as full forward and Cormac Linnane was going well as centre forward before his injury. Has been confirmed as a cruciate so gone for the rest of season. Hopefully he can make full recovery and come back for next years minor championship.

Cormac Linnane has damaged his ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season. A heartbreaking injury, a loss for us but many players have recovered and went on to greater things, I wish him the best in his recovery.

Horrible blow for Young Linnane, you would think that Bryan Sweeney would get the No.11 shirt now. Will be interesting to see where the 1/4 final will be played last year it was in Thurles so could be possible that it may be on there again. Could people see there being any changes in the current panel? John mark foley was injured so he could possibly be back for the next game. I presume they will probably be looking at lads in the County Minor Championship this week and next to see have they left any players behind them?

More than likely it will be in Limerick or Ennis I'd say considering it will be a Munster v Connacht double header possibly.

Only saw the highlights on TG4 last Monday but Galway looked very impressive v Mayo. They held Mayo scoreless in the first half except for a goal at the very beginning. They look like a very strong running team.

As someone who was critical of our forwards play against Cork it was refreshing to see how much faster and overall better they moved the ball in the Munster final and the management deserve credit for this. The new full forward did a good job and the influence of Declan's coaching was obvious. Cormac Linnane is a good player and his injury is a cruel blow to both himself and his family. I understand that he is a minor again next year and the hope would be that he can regain his fitness and confidence by then. If John Mark Foley was fit to resume at midfield then Adam Barry could slot in to almost any of the central positions. It will take a decent side to put Kerry out of this championship

QF's down for the August bankholiday weekend. conscious that we have lost games in the past to Laois, Roscommon and Tipp however with the big houses such as Cork, Mayo, Tyrone, Dublin all gone and even the likes of Armagh, Donegal, Meath etc etc surely there is another All Ireland there for the taking?

Galway struggled v Sligo ... 0-7 to 1-4 is terrible and all reports suggest that the game was dire. Replay in Tuam, you'd expect Galway to come through.
If Cork beat Kildare in the Seniors, then it's 99% certain that the Kerry minors will be playing 12pm before the Seniors at 2pm.

Believe Peter Keane is the favourite- has been involved previously abc also did his stint with the development squads; if not any of Jack's present selectors, Eamon Whelan or Michéal O'Sé would be fancied.
