Ultimately it's in aid of Finuge GAA Club. But with the amount of time, energy, organisation etc that has gone into it and will continue to go into it, what the Club makes will come no where near what it will mean to have the former greats of Kerry football on one field again... Every Club in Kerry has contributed to the County team over the years and every Club deserves credit for the time and effort they put into developing players who go on to wear the County jersey. In Finuges case since 1973, Finuge players have been involved in 11 of Kerrys 14 All-Ireland victories. Yes there are Clubs out there who have significantly surpassed that and the Club is not flaunting it by no means. Finuge GAA Club consider it an absolute honour to organise this event... it's not about gain, it's a celebration of being a Kerry GAA fan. Personally, I might be a grown adult but at the All-Ireland semi final replay in Limerick I stood next to and had a quick hello with Ogie Moran, Liam Hassett, Eoin Liston, Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh , Tomas O' Se, Mick O' Dwyer. I don't know any of these lads personally, but it was an honour... made my fecking day! Oh and the win v Mayo was the icing on the cake...

Finuge GAA Club are delighted to announce that with the kind permission of the Irish Kidney Association, we will be promoting the 'Gift Of Life' during our 'Kerry Legends Exhibition Game & Gala Ball.' The Club have also decided that we will make a donation to the Irish Kidney Association. In some instances organ donation comes about through tragedy for a family... a small consolation through that tragedy is giving the gift of life to another person.

Months and months of planning, weekends given up, dinners missed, near divorces because of time at meetings. But the show must go on... our backs are to the walls... but we have no choice but to press ahead. If anyone is around Saturday, we would genuinely and sincerely appreciate if ye came along and supported our Kerry players and the Irish Kidney Association. We have 40 players who have committed to joining us... 8 former Kerry captains. We will provide a great day and night out...
