I don't have a ticket and if anyone has one I'd be glad of it. I will travel anyway and I never failed as I've always found someone with a spare and none more genuine than last time when a nice Tralee man gave me a ticket and we subsequently warned off a tout who we saw getting out of a taxi, buying a Kerry jersey and pulling it on. That was in front of The Gresham and I'd say that killed his profit as that is the best location to con people. I'd warn the younger generation not to deal with anyone unless you know them, directly or indirectly. Just hang around our own usual spots and don't appear too keen, then a ticket will find you. Just imagine if you had a spare ticket, you'd be looking for a genuine 'face value' taker, how would you go about it; well you'd want to give it to someone you knew and inside the county of course, and not definitely someone who would sell it on. Ask what club they are from and that will help. I was offered a free ticket right at the entrance the last time in Croker. I have never heard of anyone travelling and not getting in, never in all my 40+ years. All about a bit of tact. Others might have more advice so come on, help out the new comers. What would the usual spots be Kman ? I know of the Gresham! I'm going to travel without a ticket in hope of getting one above! But obviously would be relieve much stress having on in hand before As Derek said, Palace Bar, Fleet Street or the The Boars Head Bar Capel Street, probably Sat night and along with any where you see a lot of our colours congregated. The Merchant also not far from Heuston Station is owned by a friend of Paidi's. Sunday morning, -The Gresham, and both Joxer Daly's and Mayes are a short walk from Gresham kind of on the way to Croker, and of course Barry's. Find out where the team are on the morning (D4?), you will meet people you know there! The later it gets the chances get better when it transpires someone hasn't turned up or had a few feelers out and they are now sorted. It if best to have a pal with you and fellas on their own might be seen as touts. Don't deal unless you are sure the accent is Kerry and if in doubt just disappear as touts could be having a hay day if tickets are plentiful and I think they will be. If there are Gardai/stewards close by slow down the transaction and if the seller gets shaky, well touts/forgeries. Have I frightened you off, hopefully not. There are more pubs that others might add on here for us all. PS Avoid small pokey wee watering holes, even if there are a few of us stood outside.

Also a good idea to sport your county colours - this helps the seller know your a genuine supporter also. Genuine sellers will only look for face value - touts will be looking to profit and try not to go this route.

Find out where the team are on the morning (D4?), you will meet people you know there! you can be sure the team are staying nowhere near D4! in 2009 they stayed in Radisson on the saturday night and then id say in 2011 stayed in Dunboyne. for the semi final, they stayed outside the west of the City as they got off the train between Kildare and Heuston. would suspect they will stay in Dunboyne, thus they are well protected from the crowd and will get plenty of peace out there. they will check out of their hotel about 12.00 and head into Dublin, maybe this year a bit earlier as the minors are in the final. they will then go to the sunday night hotel after the game - have a feeling they will eat and stay in the berkley court as they normally do and then head to Jurys around 11/12, once the sunday game is over.

Ah what I was saying is where the team entourage would be Sunday morning, was often D4 but maybe Croke Park Hotel? Maybe with minors they will go straight to stadium.
Re tickets is it not also the case that touts also stand in the way of fans as they walk towards Croker, so to hit the maximum number of people and they can also disappear in the crowd if selling dodgy tickets. Nobody with genuine spare ticket would do this. As I said already, just imagine it is the other way around and you have a spare ticket for a genuine supporter, how would you go about it, you'd be looking for someone you knew, even indirectly. And yeah, don't pay a cent over face value anyway. Good luck and enjoy.

Was in Mulligan's on Poolbeg St (?) on the Saturday night eight or nine years ago and plenty of Kerry people there. Might also be worth a visit as part of search for tickets.

The Hill tickets we have say there in the Green section, so if someone else has one that says different, be your best bet in finding out. I'd imagine it is spilit myself but that'd just be a guess.

I have seen it in the past but cannot find it again - has anybody the details on how the 82500 or so tickets are broken out Nationally and then how the Kerry allocation are divided within the County?

Do you mean besides the Nally/hill 16 split? No I mean as in the actual hill 16 itself ? I remember when I was there in 08 it was split in to A & B sections and you couldn't cross between the two.

Just wondering if the hill is split into 2 for this years final, open to correction but think it was for finals before? The Dineen Hill 16 is split into two sections. They stagger the access to both sections (close off one section and allow a certain amount of people into the other before opening the first section again and so on). If you want to be with friends ye should all go in together and go in early.

I saw this before a few years back - pretty sure it was a breakdown of where Croke Park sent the tickets but didn't have a breakdown of where the county board iirc but I have no idea where I saw it.

Donegal Newspaper had a very detailed article outlining the number of tickets received and how they are allocated donegalnews.com/2014/09/donegal-clubs-learn-all-ireland-final-ticket-allocation/They say they received 16088 (same as Kerry) and 84% went to clubs on the basis of 1.2 tickets per club member. Interestingly they had 800 season ticket holders and only half received final tickets (other did not have the 60% attendance required to get a ticket) Nice to know where and how tickets go out

Interestingly they had 800 season ticket holders and only half received final tickets (other did not have the 60% attendance required to get a ticket) I saw that stat about only 400 ticket holders being eligible - was really surprised it was so low. You'd think if you had bothered getting the season ticket you would have made damm sure to get the 60% How sickened must those folk be trying to get a ticket? Also from that it looks like the season tickets is separate from the county's allocation - anyone know for sure? It does have the quote saying that Kerry got the same number of tickets as Donegal.

I have seen it in the past but cannot find it again - has anybody the details on how the 82500 or so tickets are broken out Nationally and then how the Kerry allocation are divided within the County? Page 64 of this document has some information: www.gaa.ie/content/documents/Annual_Congress_Final_Report2.pdfBut not a great breakdown on the key figure. Just says 58,000 to counties, which would include non-competing counties, 10,000 to premium and corporate, & it names the other bodies who get the 14,000 or so. So, if Kerry and Donegal are sharing 32,000 then there are 26,000 tickets amongst all the other non-competing counties?! An average of 800 tickets into each other county? - surely that could be lessened to boost the number going to the competing fans.
