My club in Dublin have a very fair system. Mentors or volunteers from competing counties get first refusal on tickets. There aint too many Kerry mentors around here either.

Tickets, Tickets, Tickets Good news for Kerry Supporters is that there is a “substantial” second allocation of Tickets on the way on Monday – clubs have already been notified – Kerry County Committee are very confident that the Ticket supply will then meet the demand – the allocation will then be in excess of the 2011 allocation
Tickets for Post Pimary Schools All 21 Post Primary Schools in Kerry have received All-Ireland Football Finals ticket allocations from Munster GAA & Kerry GAA. In addition Kerry GAA has allocated 150 Terrace Tickets to be divided between each of the schools to hold a draw among the schools’ senior team players. This generous gesture by Munster GAA & Kerry GAA recognises the significant contribution made by the Post Primary Schools in the promotion of our games in Kerry. Particularly on this occasion it recognises the schools’ contribution towards the development of the players on our Senior & Minor Football panels.
After Match Function in Dublin The after match function for Kerry GAA supporters will be held in the old Jurys Hotel, formerly the D4, now known as the Ballsbridge Hotel. Entry to this very popular event is strictly by ticket only; tickets cost €20 and are available from the Austin Stack Park (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only, 3pm to 5:30pm)and the Kerry GAA Store in Killarney. Any unsold tickets will then be brought to Dublin and will be for sale at the venue on the night while stocks last. All proceeds from this function will go towards the Kerry team training fund. Why not come along and support both teams on the night.
Kerry County Committee Office Opening Times The Kerry County Committee Office opening Hours on this weeke are as follows: Monday from 4pm to 7pm for Club Collection of tickets only, and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm to 5:30pm. The office is closed on Friday. Our thanks to office staff, Aileen, Breda and Kate for their excellent work over the last few weeks.

Some Russian hackers have listed 5 million gmail addresses online, so my plan for a ticket is to email everyone on the list and ask for a ticket. 80,000 are Vietnamese so probably won't have much luck there. Invest in billboards in Kerry and Donegal: probably more effective ...sure Fiji isn't a GAA stronghold either but....

Donegal clubs get 1.2 tickets per member. Naomh Admhnáin got over 800 tickets! Kerry clubs get 70! WTF??!!! With about 40 clubs in Donegal that would give the club allocation (before any other distributions) at 32,000 tickets!!! Magic tickets.

really is baffling how there can be so much transparency in Donegal, but we never see it in kerry. clubs should be getting 300+ tickets, but as pointed out they are getting 70. anybody know if we got 16,000 like Donegal did? it appears from that article that we did, so what on earth is going?
i guess the rule of schools, plus former all ireland winners get them takes a lot off our books but eitherway, something is amiss.

There's about 180 schools and 180 former All Ireland winners so even if both sets got 2 each that's only 720 down. GAA should publish list of members by club.

The Primary schools in Kerry are not allocated tickets per school by the county board.I believe the Primary Schools committee is allocated some tickets but that is probably just enough for the committee.

I do remember seeing a list a few years back with a breakdown of where all the tickets went that Croke Park issued. It would be nice to at least have an idea of how many tickets the county board did get. You'd have to hope that both Kerry and Donegal got the same number of tickets - given both in the minor and senior - anything else would be a travesty in my opinion I really wouldnt hold out too much hope of the Kerry County Board giving a breakdown of where their allocation of tickets go. I'd say you'd have a better chance of getting hold of Eamonn's tactics for the final.

This Forum used to have a competition for tickets and other Kerry gear. Any chance of getting that up and running?

Not at the moment, that used depend on the generosity of the the county board as none of us on the mod team are anyway affiliated with the county board. Still trying to get a ticket myself! I don't think we have had a competition for tickets since the board officers were changed a few years back (I could be open to correction)

Always intrigued by the severity of the questions. You'd need to know your North Kerry championship inside out!! Think I've Nally ones sorted. Haven't been to the Nally in years. Will give it ago unless anyone has direct swaps for seats! #longshot

Hi lads, I am wondering if any posters on here would have any spare tickets for the final? I have just about "liked and shared " every competition on Facebook . "Retweeted " same on twitter and have drove my phone bill through the roof by texting and ringing competitions, all to no avail. I'm not fussy! I'll take one for any part of the stadium as there isn't a bad seat in Croker! . If any posters have spares or know of people looking to get rid of tickets please let me know. Ciarraí abú

I don't have a ticket and if anyone has one I'd be glad of it. I will travel anyway and I never failed as I've always found someone with a spare and none more genuine than last time when a nice Tralee man gave me a ticket and we subsequently warned off a tout who we saw getting out of a taxi, buying a Kerry jersey and pulling it on. That was in front of The Gresham and I'd say that killed his profit as that is the best location to con people.
I'd warn the younger generation not to deal with anyone unless you know them, directly or indirectly. Just hang around our own usual spots and don't appear too keen, then a ticket will find you. Just imagine if you had a spare ticket, you'd be looking for a genuine 'face value' taker, how would you go about it; well you'd want to give it to someone you knew and inside the county of course, and not definitely someone who would sell it on. Ask what club they are from and that will help.
I was offered a free ticket right at the entrance the last time in Croker.
I have never heard of anyone travelling and not getting in, never in all my 40+ years. All about a bit of tact. Others might have more advice so come on, help out the new comers.

What would the usual spots be Kman ? I know of the Gresham! I'm going to travel without a ticket in hope of getting one above! But obviously would be relieve much stress having on in hand before

Palace Bar, Fleet Street or the The Boars Head Bar Cappel Street would be Kerry strong holds IMO!

its amazing, there was barely perhaps no more than 8,000 at the semi final in croke park and now all of a sudden weve got 16,000 plus fans who want to travel up.
always the bloody same.

We could copy and paste the debates from this forum from 2004 - 2009 rather than go through the rights and wrongs of match attendance / club involvement / ticket entitlement I would say that the Season Ticket at least has taken care of many of the supporters who go to all the games who in the past may have struggled to get a ticket for the final.

Can't remember the last time I had a ticket before Friday - but never failed to get inside the gates. Keep asking around and do the rounds of the Kerry pubs in Dublin on Saturday night. The Gresham on Sunday morning is like the last chance saloon. The scramble is part of the fun and ignore the friends and even family that have tickets from early even though they have not been to a Kerry game since the last final.
