Galvin is retired now and anyway he greatly improved his behaviour in his final years.

look nobody knows what really happened. Things happen quickly. The problem I have is with o, Gara,s tackling. When he tackles he wants to hurt. I think he tackled Meaths full back with the closed fist, which led to the group fight. Last year in the final when he was finally yellowed carded ,it was about 15minutes late as he should have been carded twice before. And he was only a sub. IMO. And as an aside where has the clear striking with the hand gone? MDM shovels it and Cormac Costello passed a ball 25yrds that a basketball player would be proud of. Now they are not the only ones. A few Kerry boys are at it also

Have to say fair play to Tomás standing up for O'Gara, particularly given the the orchestrated campaign, via TSG, against Tomás and Paul in particular, some years back. Time was when it seemed that Kerry couldn't play a game without the threat of suspensions materializing around 10 p.m.
I hope the irony wasn't lost on Des, but it probably was.

Owen Mulligan said last night, if someone puts their fingers in your mouth, what are you meant to do, blow them out? I agree with him, certainly O Gara went in hard and deserved a yellow, however, Kevin Reilly is no shrinking violet, as evidenced by his full force knees into the back of a prone Paddy Brophy a number of weeks ago.

Kevin Reilly looks like Snow White in comparison to Mick Lyons.

I totally agree if Paul Galvin had done this everyone would be looking for severe punishment. Also good point that Tomas, because of his experiences knows that TSG cannot be judge, jury and executioner.

Ah yes, there's an incident between a Dublin and Meath player that's under investigation, so some Kerry people have to play the victimisation card on behalf of Paul Galvin. The campaign to show that Paul was a victim of malice by Croke Park/The media/the CCCC will never get tired....or get any traction. Paul was an absolute hero for Kerry, not just one of the most talented players of his generation, but also one of the most whole-hearted and honest, but he certainly did cross the line on occasions. If he is a god, then he is a god with feet of clay...same as every other human being on the planet.I am of Kerry and I've watched Kerry football from juvenile pitches right up to Croke Park for the bones of two decades now, and I have huge admiration for Paul Galvin as a footballer and as a person. But he picked up some deserved bans, not because of any prejudice, but because of actions. All this nonsense sounds to me the exact same as Uruguayan soccer fans alleging conspiracies against Luis Suarez, and with exactly as much credibility. Dear God, can we please get over it? It's gone beyond embarrassing.

Galvin is retired now and anyway he greatly improved his behaviour in his final years. Agreed. In fact, it's a bit disrespectful to bring Galvin into this!

I think the panel were off kilter with their analysis. They were focusing on the rights of reacting.
The issue is not whether O'Gara was right or wrong to react. If he is found to have reacted, in the same way as a player reacts with a fist to provocation, he will probably be subject to the disciplinary process.

Poor aul Crazy Horse, he wasn't born gifted in many ways. As for Meath, the less said the better. The way they handled it made a very bad day alot worse, probably set them back mentally another few years
