That said I imagine they could still put out a team but a lot of lads wouldn't be up to that standard and would probably feel they are wasting their time, whilst others probably have no interest in playing (always a problem).

Very serious issue with that Kenmare situation. Poor from Kenmare's side, this is the biggest competition in Kerry, all fixtures should be fulfilled. Also reflects badly on the county board in not putting procedures in place to avoid such a thing happening.
Kenmare district can't field a team in the county championship, but on a brighter note the Dr.Crokes B team are flying it in division 5 of the county league fulfilling all of their fixtures. Maybe the county board should have insisted on Crokes throwing some players Tuosist's way in the Alan O Sullivan transfer!!!!!!!

Rahillys are short big guns from last year. advantage south Kerry?
I know Stacks hammered Feale last year but with home advantage to Feale and Donaghy, Bohane missing surely Feale are value at 2\1 ??

Rahillys will still have quite a few of last years team and with 9 points from 10 in County League will surely fancy their chances- also Barry John Keane was an absentee last year and will prove a handful for SK defenders. Think Rahillys could shade this.

Stacks /Feale is a tough one to call- Stacks are going through a tough period at the moment and their performance against Dingle in the club championship was very disappointing- Feale have potential but if reports are to be believed they have not done much together-Feale may be good enough in Listowel with the scoring exploits of Cox to the fore.

Guiney, McGuire, Enright, P Corridan, Maher, Galvin ?, Cox, Curtin still around?
Senans have a few good young lads too to throw into the mix. That's a good mix solid backbone
They might not have much done but then again what divisional team has!!

Some result by Rathmore tonight against the Crokes. Coming back from 0-7 to 0-2 behind after 20 minutes to win 0-14 to 0-9.
Looks like we can postpone any reform of the championship, at least til Gooch comes back anyway!
Still i'd say anyone in the losers round draw will be worried to see Crokes in the hat with them.

Feale Rangers 0-9 Austin Stacks 0-14.
Not as comfortable for Stacks as the scoreline might suggest. 6 pts apiece at half-time and Rangers led 5-2 at one stage. Still neck and neck going into the final quarter but Stacks upped the tempo and won going away. Poor enough game with tight defending and most of the scores from placed balls.
I kind of hope Anthony Maher was minding himself big time today, cos if that was anything like his A-game, we need a new midfielder for the championship. Won nothing, contributed nothing and gave the ball away on the few occasions he had it. Didn't expect him to burst a gut today but this was really, really poor from a County man.

Why wouldn't Maher bust a gut today? It's county championship isn't it, not North Kerry League... If he was that bad things weren't much better from David Moran in Caherciveen who was cleaned out by Brendan Sullivan.. Clearly not a good day for county midfielders although Sheehan did kick 6 points for SK, albeit from centre forward

Clearly not a good day for county midfielders Also in Kerry midfielder news - Johnny Buckley went off around 5 minutes into the 2nd half of the Crokes game.

Clearly not a good day for county midfielders although Sheehan did kick 6 points for SK, albeit from centre forward David Moran came down heavily on his knee after 10 mins and was attended to by the physio; he continued until half time and resumed with a heavily strapped knee in the second half; think that the training in the Kerry camp for last 3 weeks showed this week end throughout all the games- huge emphasis on running, not much football and "bonding" session two weeks ago has taken its toll.

If he was that bad things weren't much better from David Moran in Caherciveen who was cleaned out by Brendan Sullivan.. Clearly not a good day for county midfielders although Sheehan did kick 6 points for SK, albeit from centre forward David Moran fell heavily on his shoulder a number of weeks ago and is well back in his training schedule. The shoulder is not fully healed, now this is compounded with the knee injury today. He was shaping up to be our number one midfielder but has a lot of catching up to do in order to be ready for the Munster Final if we get there. As for Anthony Maher, he has not played well since 2012 save the first half of last years's Munster Final and his form is even worse this year making midfield a major worry. Bryan Sheehan by all accounts did well today and now may be our logical choice as when he is going well midfield is his best position. I do not rate Johnny Buckley so Donnacha Walsh may now be an option here. It may take from his grafting from wing forward which all contenders need but i would still feel very comfortable with him at midfield in the situation we are in at the moment.
