Glenbeigh the big losers with this ridiculous ban, due to midkerry's involvement in the county Champ their preparation was already badly hampered. Joe has been a major player for Glenbeigh over several years and was a major loss to them. Nothing can be taken away from Brosna thou as they battled right to the end, many a team would have thrown the towel in. The goal was a fortunate one to say the least and once again Glenbeigh are punished for only having a two point lead going into the final minute, the better team lost out yesterday. A worrying thing for Glenbeigh is that they are now a div 1 team but still a junior team.

4 fu$k sake is this really what the GAA has come to? Really terrible look for the GAA, boys in the suits should hang their heads in shame over this. No cheating, no-one was assaulted, just a whole load of bs from an organisation that has lost the run of itself.

I mean the guy is doing the GAA a double service by 1.Playing for his original club where possible and therefore assisting them in fulfilling fixtures and being competitive. and 2.He is promoting the game aboard. The guy just wants to play football and is being punished for it! It's not like he played under a false name in the All Ireland club championships!!! lol A 7-a-side tournament!!!

When is first round of Munster junior on? I presume at this point Brosna will go through regardless of Saturdays result?

Would Dromid have any means of appealing this ban if they were the win at the weekend?
Really scandalous that a club could be denied the chance of Munster and All Ireland titles because of a brawl clearly instigated by an opposition team in a game 2 or 3 years ago.
As it happens it's unlikely Dromid would be good enough to win the All-Ireland this year, but the GAA should not be the ones to stop them doing so.

if dromid havent put appeal in motion by now they can forget about it, time line is too tight.

And so Dromid put it up to Brosna and it was certainly their's for the taking. Do feel that the Gaeltacht ref needs to look at a video of the game and examine his performance. More importantly, the 'powers' that be at Kerry's premium stadium need to invest in a clock. Can anybody explain why a clock doesn't sit alongside the score board ? At the end of this game, with Dromid on the attack, the ref decided not to play any injury time. Take the job of time-keeping away from the ref. He has enough to do ! Kerry County Board should address this issue to ensure that both teams get a fair deal.

Get a life chief ye got yer fair share of handy frees all day dromid attacked, missed, Brosna gain possession and were ready to attack when d ref blew d game! no one to blame but yer selves ye had very scorable points Int d last few minutes and I still can't believe ye didn't take them but all ye wanted was goal despite only a point down. Thank god says I ? Who would ever have backed us to reach an achievement like this with possibly the tough side of d draw and an average team to most. Boys I fecking love ye tonight and here is to bigger and better things. Templnoe were probably favourite glenbeigh after that and Brosna outsiders! Fuxcking love ye boys!..

To put what this victory means to the players, club and parish into writing is nigh on impossible.
Guts, character, balls.

Dromid were hugely defensive which took away from the spectacle. Even though it was low scoring, some of the points from play from both sides were fantastic, especially one a piece from the Finnegan brothers.
One small incident of player with serious head injury towards end of the game. The ref told him just to get up, being put under a lot of pressure by some of the Dromid players just to get ball in play. Need to take care with head injuries.
Flor Mac got man of the match and it was thoroghly deserved, he had a fantastic game!
Great achievement for Brosna given the tough side of the draw, lot of good footballers in that team and all team players too!

Congrats to Brosna.
During the summer I was talking to a Brosna man who was aggrieved that a Brosna lad was overlooked for the Kerry minors.... I cant recall the lads name but he swore that he was the "best minor in the county".
And he told me that the Geaneys of Dingle have their roots in Brosna!

Ya ! The lads name is Timmy Finnegan and we all said in Brosna that if Kerry have 30 better minors than this lad they will definitely win the all Ireland!! The geaneys grand dad is a Brosna man !!

Congrata to Brosna. Must have been a few pints drank back there yesterday evening.
I think that was there 8 weekend in a row out. They have county league next weekend and north kerry champ the following week.
Not sure if this is helpful or not in their preparations for the All Ireland semi. Could easily pick up a few injuries with non stop games every weekend.

I was at the Brosna v Glin match. Can anyone tell me why the Brosna goalkeeper was subbed so early in the first half? He didn't look injured and I don't think he made any massive cock-ups (not that I noticed anyway). He went straight to the dressing room too, didn't look too pleased.

I wasn't at the game but the same thing happened the previous week at a North Kerry game v St Senans , he must have some injury he is a good keeper standing at at least 6' 7' only 20 yrs old
