Best wishes to the Kerry Ladies today against Cork in the All Ireland semi-final. Tough task - I suspected and said at the time that we would be seeing Cork again after the Munster Final - but great to see Louise Galvin named on the panel. The Cork Ladies have been the best team in the country over the past decade but hard work put in by the likes of Alan, William before him, and many more, most especially the girls themselves, has put a bit of momentum into the pendulum, hopefully it will swing far enough our way.

No shame in the loss today, gave it 100% but it just wasn't enough. Cork got the goals and we could not. We seemed to get exposed in the FB line a bit, maybe we were pushing for goals and just got caught, but very hard to be overly critical.
I can only assume that Cork were a little off in the Munster Championship, they are the champs and a class side.

Cork seemed to be timing their form for the All Ireland and not Munster. That's twice now they have reversed the result against us. it will take a brilliant team to stop them.

A win for Cork but hard earned. The tide of age is turning against them , 6 players with 10 medals out of 11 years. A great tough nucleus will have to go at some stage. Kerry , Dublin , Monaghan will be what iffing over the Winter.

Congratulations to the Cork ladies. A remarkable achievement by a remarkable team . The attendance of over 31,000 is sensational. All the more sensational when one considers how it is being monopolised currently by one team. It is interesting that the attendance was almost three times that for the camogie final which has a much longer history.

A couple of them have about 16 medals between the two codes. I dint see it but they seem to be well able to grind it out when they have to.

Kerry winning the last two Munster titles and then well beaten when it gets to knockout/Croke Park. Are Cork not showing their hand, can't be arsed with the Provincial or are Kerry peaking for the wrong competition? Or the bottom line - Cork are simply too strong when it counts?

Cork comprehensively beat Kerry in the semi-final. They were in a different league.

I heard an interview with a Cork player on radio over last few days and she more or less said they were now timing their run to latter part of the summer towards September. Also they concentrated on being a 2nd half team which seemed to be suiting them better.
