Feck me if it is.

Was'nt there some Hannigan fella that used come on the 'Last Word' with Matt Cooper a few years ago, reporting the news and goings on Stateside.
Is this the same chap I wonder ?

Based on above it seems to be the same guy. It proves though that no matter how sane and reasonable a Cork person might seem, that when you mention Kerry football they lose the run of themselves completely!

Hannigen did a bit in the Tribune before the start of the championship about watching the drawn Munster Final somewhere in the States and how proud he was to be a Corkman etc etc so its probably the same guy. All I'll say is that he should stick to the baseball.

Hennigan was on The Last Word yesterday talking about Beckhams move to LA. This man's knowledge of all things sport knows no bounds.

He's obsessed with the US sports culture. He's written in great detail, and with great clarity, on everything from WNBA, through NASCAR, Golf, American Football, the history of Baseball, Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Wayne Gretsky betting scandal, to rodeo!!

Well at least Hannigan is consistent anyway !
This week; the Dublin footballers (for their humility in victory), Tipperary Supporters (for over celebrating last saturday nights victory) and Ger Loughnane (for being so outspoken), are all given both barrells in his article !

Are all his Gaa articles critical ones or is it just football ,It might be just a case of the returned Yank taking time to settle back in at home

Any sign of Hannigan dragging himself away from the LA Galaxy, Boston Celtics, NY Yankees and Chicago Bears to give us his opinion on this football game.........Echo readers might let us know.
