we should probably exclude Fitzgerald Stadium and Austin Stack Park from the list, would make it better craic!
I'll go for Crokes pitch as the best, and possibly Scartaglin as the worst, it's in a hole down off the road and is a wild open spot when the wind rises!

The second pitch in Moyvane is very bad played an underage game there once, also Ballybuff's second pitch is pretty poor but there main pitch would be up there with the best in the county. Stacks pitch isn't great. For the monney put into alot of pitch's they should be a whole lot better Annascaul and Castle's are two examples they dont hold up very well in bad weather

ya asdee's pitch has a shocking surface alright. Dingle pitch is very bad for wind. Laune rangers have a nice pitch.

Brosna pitch deserves a mention i think its in good condition all year round... Also caharsalee in tralee has been done up and is in great condition.. I agree i hate playing in cordel very bad surface there and trying to watch the matchs is painful with the fence around it.. Knocknagoshel is also poor enough... What do ye think of the pitchs i have mentioned??

Laune Rangers and Crokes would defo be up there as the best. Glenbaighs and cordals pithes are fairly poor especially in winter

crokes have the best pitch by a long shot, kilgarvan have an excellent pitch for the size of the club and dingle also have quite a good pitch.

Lispole have a very nice pitch, always dry. A lot of pitches should be cut more often though

Kilgarvan's pitch is very good alright. Its very scenic also. Comes in handy if your standing around corner back position! Coolards is good too. could do with a bit more grass though

What about Churchill's? Very small and tough to play there. Tousist's pitch is quite poor. Kilmoyley has to be one of the best

Knockanure play in the Junior championship/leagues in North Kerry. Their pitch is BY FAR the worst in Kerry. Most of the time they play their games in Moyvane.

There are some great pitches in North Kerry mostly all weather but I will go for our own natural pitch Beale followed by Duagh. Coolard is disappointing I think needs alot of TLC and can be good, also Listowel disappointing. The worst would certainly not be in North Kerry.

Lerrig - Kilmoyley hurling club grounds is a fine pitch. A few county senior football championship games have been played there in recent years.
Ardfert - terrible pitch. short, hilly and torn up from over use
Dr Crokes - fine pitch and surrounding facilities
Fitzgerald Stadium - what a wonderful surface
Austin Stack Park - pitch often in poor nick at times

Agree re the field in kilgarvan... Well maintained...Best Div 5 pitch anyway I reck Ballyduff also have a fine field. Played on Fossas pitch last year. Looked good but was v bumpy and had a lot of divits... Agree with someone who mentioned pitches should be cut more often. Long grass not good

Ballymac have put an awfull amount of work into their pitch! saw it the last day when passing doing a delivery for work! heard from one of the committee that they have put nearly 150,000 into their pitch and hope it will pay dividends once they start playing on it again. They always had a problem with drainage there he was saying

They always had fine big dressing rooms there though, hope the redevelopment works out well for them.

glenbeighs pitch is crap, bog hole when it rains, like concrete when its dry,and usually covered in gravel! duaghs pitch in the village is very sloped, as is churchills. tousist is like a farmers field. milltown and beaufort can be very heavy at one stage renard had a drain along the side of the pitch big enough to bury a car in! derrynane, nice pitch but very small. dromid is nice except for the midges!
good pitches, firies listry fossa crokes senans templenoe knocknagree (great flooglights) ballyduff

Hardly pendantic if you're from Knocknagree I'd say!!
Whilst I agree that playing surfaces should be good, it does make me smile when I see complaints about the wind and midges !!! What are the Clubs supposed to do about that? Try and control the weather/ nature/ move the pitch for ye ? Jeez we're good in Kerry but we're hardly that powerful...
