Someone told me that Adidas have others making their products under licence, but I dont know if this is the case here. Presumably you couldnt just use the three stripes so obviously if you had not got the permission of the brand owner

Who remembers the Cork Adidas jerseys in 1976 (I seem to have memories of the Montreal Olympics being on at the time)?. Made by adidas. GAA threatened to throw them out of the league for wearing them. They could have worn them apparently if they put a little sticker over the logo.

The three stripes on the Cork jersey signifies the 3 chances Cork get to win namely; ......... Front Door, Back Door, Frank Murphy.......

the story with the three strips is that Addias were using I Neills as an Irish base. O Neills were the suppliers for years. When they cut ties O Neills had the rights to the 3 strips but only with in Ireland. the cant market the gear outside Ireland with them. All of the O Neill county wear has the 3 strips but outside of Ireland its owned by Addais.. they them need approval and would have to pay royalities to Addias....

That would be correct and it was supplied by o neills. But it was also about that time that O Neills went there own way a hence the story of the 3 strips...
